Heralding the start of new beginnings, the emergence of Spring flowering bulbs feel like a blessing after those short, dreary Winter days.
Autumn is the best time to plant your bulbs, when soil temperatures have cooled, but before the first frosts, ideally in holes three to four times as deep as the bulb itself. Be bold, layer up patio containers and troughs, plant in borders or en masse under deciduous trees and enjoy a carpet of colour every Spring.
